Probably the biggest nostalgia trip I'm ever gonna have on this channel. Midnight Club 3 past the nostalgic smell, really is still one of the greatest racing games ever made, and to me feels like the peak of arcade racing in the 2000s. It has so much going for it, multiple cities with a fair amount of detail, great variety of vehicles and customization. It has a varied soundtrack that has some absolute bangers, and still shows that Midnight Club has the best implementation of Street Racing in any game I've played so far.
I'm planning to revisit Midnight Club Los Angeles since it was a game I never finished as a kid. I wanna give it a second chance though.
Notes:
- The race variety I forgot to talk about is great as well. You have ordered and unordered races like in MC2. You also have Circuit which is self-explanatory, and Autocross which is like a time trial where you beat the target time. There is also a sprint race where you reach the red line. Find the best route and you win pretty much. For more race modes, you have them in the arcade section.
- Can't really show the music due to copyright reasons. Everything's real big, and so is copyright.
- I didn't show all of the cars because with the loading time it takes between each vehicle. I would've already been in the grave by the time I got to the end.
- You can use any car you want to beat the game. It's just that with lower classes you're going be at a disadvantage towards the end.
- To elaborate on the special abilities. Even if you have ram for the SUV/Trucks, you'll still need to do 3 luxury races to unlock the ability for those cars as well. The same rule applies for the other vehicle types.
