Howfinity | Midjourney New Pan Feature @Howfinity | Uploaded July 2023 | Updated October 2024, 13 hours ago.
Midjourney has a new pan option that allows you to look in any direction and it will fill the new section using Generative fill AI.
You can pan left, right, up or down and you can do this multiple times.
Using the Pan Effect
As usual, start by giving Midjourney /image and then a prompt. I’ll use a medieval castle as an example.
Then, upscale on them from the given option in order to get the pan option.
Panning Options
Once the image upscale is completed, you’ll see the pan option.
You can pan multiple times in the same direction. With each pan, you’ll get four new images to choose from.
Remix Mode with Pan
If you want to use the remix mode with the Pan function, type "/prefer remix".
Once you've turned on the remix mode and selected the pan option after upscaling an image, you'll see a new prompt window. In this window, you can add what extra details you want in your image.
After you've given your instructions, hit submit. You'll see new versions of your image that include the extra detail you added.
When you're done and want to turn off the remix mode, just type "/prefer remix" again.
