I was making several demos using the Midicake ARP when I came across some minor technical difficulties... I grew so angry then I just turned off the lights and started using the ARP as it should be... a partnership to an instrument... a metallic muse wrapped in a small white box... I forgot where I was for a time as I just massaged the solid keys and let the ARP hold my hand into a shimmer of ambient electrons... All improv playing with some minimal post editing... More in depth demonstrations of the Midicake ARP will be coming soon... maybe you just want to get lost for a few minutes in the sounds today... Thank you for stopping by... Shimmer Effects were adding using the Eventide H9 Black... All other sounds are coming from preset I designed on the Arturia Microfreak Stellar Digital Synth with some additional guidance from the ARP... I used the paraphonic settings of the MF as almost a playable gate... The ARP played random chords and I was able to cut off notes by playing the keys and paraphonic only allows 4 voices total...
What is the Midicake ARP you ask?
it is a deterministic, Polyphonic, Multi-Channel Parametric Arpeggiator that syncs to incoming MIDI notes and chords to produce musical layers that can compliment your performance or even be used as the instrument when linked to midi devices and DAWs... Invented by Chris Brown, not Rihanna's ex, but a talented programmer and EDM enthusiast... I have so much more positive things to say about the ARP but I would rather just show you in more demonstrations as time passes...
