Midi on a Commodore 64 is a useful tool for making music and sound effects that only the SID chip can produce.
Its the sound of the 80's and it makes a great platform for adding in the sounds that are difficult to reproduce on a modern DAW or synth.
The C64 may not be the most powerful Midi system, but it was available to bedroom musicians at the start of the MIDI revolution.
