Is she happy? Yes. Is she thriving? Yes. Do I wish she could do the happy and thriving thing at home? Yes. And no. She’s where she is supposed to be. It’s my journey as a teen parent to launch them, but that hole in your heart ❤️ is still there. My friend Amber says we are not empty nesters we are bird launchers. I like that. Gonna steal it.

I’d be happy to come over at 1 AM and make nachos, kick over a Stanley cup right in the middle of a conversation, dent your fender, leave your gas tank empty, borrow (and lose) your phone chargers and have mystery door dash charges.
