On Saturday 21st October 2017 I took a visit to Alton to see the annual diesel gala at the Watercress line on the Mid Hants Railway. Featuring in the Gala was a Class 55 Deltic D9002 "The Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry", Class 37 D6700, Class 33053 and 33202 "Dennis G Robinson" Class 50027 "Lion" in it's Network SouthEast Livery, Shunter 03197 and 2H DEMU Thumper 1125.
Although a wet and windy day because of Storm Brain. It was still a enjoyable day even with the delays caused by a hiccup with the deltic at the start of the day.
