British Loco Films | Mid Hants Railway Spring Steam Gala 2021 @BritishLocoFilms | Uploaded May 2021 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
First major event of the 2021 year for me was at Mid Hants Railway Spring Steam Gala which had two billed visiting engines from the Great Western Railway region with the usual home fleet. It was the first almost normal steam gala with a full line timetable with a shuttle where you can sit anywhere you like when it felt pretty normal which is good of course with the still the current rules face mask etc.
The two visiting engines was GWR 6400 class "pannier" no.6435 from the Bodmin & Wenford Railway & GWR 4575 class "small prairie" no.5526 from the South Devon Railway. However with the almost 11th hour that 6435 failed so it was quickly return home with fellow home fleet the 5700 class no.4612 came instead.
Home fleet was the usual SR Schools class no.30925 Cheltenham, SR S15 class no.506, Standard 4MT no.76017 & Ivatt 2MT tank no.41312 which was a standby engine and doing a shunting running around the yard although the first two days it was a thunderbird engine. However my visit that all engines was behaving themselves!
With a new camera and new software that this video was delayed a little with small issues so apologize for a slightly late video!
