Assessing dot peened characters is not currently capable of being assessed and so The Sempre Group has created a ‘Neural Network’ where the software learns how the assess these characters. This application is all about ensuring the batch of parts has the same part number. This is undertaken by human eyes and has proved to be inconsistent. The system improves the more opportunities it has to read the text.
