Microsoft Announced it is Raising the Price of Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, all Xbox Games to $80 and also raising the prices of all Xbox Controllers and accessories citing "Market Conditions" & "Rising Development Costs". This comes immediately after Nintendo Switch 2 introduced the new $80 price point for some of it's games which prompted outrage but this is completely unprecedented. Raising the price of a 5 Year old console by 20% on top of raising game prices as well. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is sure to follow if the cause is truly Rising game development costs. No word on if Sony will raise the price of the PS5, PS5 Slim, or PS5 Pro but it honestly wouldn't surprise me.
