Microsoft has lifted the 32GB size restriction for FAT32 partitions in Windows 11, allowing users to create up to 2TB FAT32 volumes directly from the command line. This change addresses a long-standing limitation and provides more flexibility for users.
Additionally, the update introduces a new version of the Windows Sandbox with enhanced features like folder sharing and command-line support. The company is also testing network performance improvements through background data collection.
These changes are currently available in the Windows 11 Canary channel and are expected to be rolled out to the stable channel in the future.
