So today I wanted to vlog about the new SM58 and test it out, let you guys know a few interesting pieces of information about microphones and how to use them. Mainly talking about signal to noise ratio and why/how that is so important to the quality of recording you will get no matter what kind of mic you use or how expesive it is.
I go into just a bit of detail about the different recording patterns commonly used: Cardiod, Omni, Stereo, Bi-Directional. I talk about the fad with those on camera shotgun mics and how people are using them wrong or buying something that is not going to work as they had intended, and a few other bits of info.
In closing though I didn't plan this out as a tutorial or review, it is just an open ended conversation and I am leaving it open to questions from the viewers so that I can go into more detail on the things you want to know.
