Stalling an aircraft has nothing to do with the engine, * when you stall your car, it means the engine has stopped, but in aircraft it means the wing has stalled below its slowest flying speed, Gliders can stall and they don't have an engine. So when an aircraft stalls its all about forward speed. * A jet aircraft that needs its engines for flight could be in trouble if the engines should stop. Stall should only be done at a safe hight (2000 feet) by Qualified pilot or a student under instruction from an instructor. All aircraft behave differently in a stall, so its important to understand principles of flight. its very easy to stall an aircraft above its lowest stalling speed. So its important to understand why and how a wing can stall. What I said about the modern microlights would keep climbing with thrust is not true, it was just a lose term I used to say how good they are, they would to a point.
