Anna Heller plays the original piano composition by Michalis Andronikou.

This piece forms part of a cycle of fourteen works inspired by well-known English sayings—concise expressions shaped by wit, experience, irony, and collective memory. Each proverb becomes a point of departure: a seed from which a distinct musical world unfolds. Rather than illustrating the sayings literally, the music explores their inner tensions, hidden ambiguities, and emotional undertones, translating familiar language into texture, motion, resonance, and silence.

The collection is dedicated to Anna Heller, who will premiere, perform, and record the complete cycle. Her artistic sensitivity and interpretive imagination are central to the project, transforming these musical miniatures into a unified expressive arc—fourteen reflections that converse with one another while retaining their individual character.
