New books for children I thought I'd tell you about.
Some of my new books and newish books just to keep you up to date with the things that I've been doing.
Here's one it's called Write to Feel right little bit of a joke there write to feel right!
Lovely pictures by Vivan Schwarz and it's a book about how we can use writing to make us feel good so if we've got troubles or difficulties of any kind or even if just want to feel good this is a book to help you so here it is it's called right to feel
There's a new book of poems this is called Out of This World with fantastic pictures by Ed Ver in it and it says poems to make you laugh smile and think and there's a couple of these poems that are already on our YouTube channel one of them I think is called the out hi toilet and the other one is about getting letters so look out for those two and they come from this book out of this world with pictures by Ed
I thought I'd show you this this is a book in Italian so I did a book called Rigatony The Pasta Cat, well it's been translated into Italian.

If you're in America this has now come out in paperback, The Missing the true story of my family in World War II and the Kirkus review for it got a starred review an important work that is immensely personal powerful and heart-wrenching and it has a forward in America by Mark Aronson, it's now out in paperback from Candlewick
Here's a book now in English it's called Dread Cat but I can see here it's in Mandarin it's in the Chinese language the Chinese language Mandarin so I'm going to show you this and then I'm going to show you something rather special on the back so here is the book Dread Cat.
What I'm going to show you on the front it says and if you come in close you'll be able to see it says nice and then next to it there's two Chinese letters and you know what they say y now if you don't speak Mandarin you won't know what that is well that means in Mandarin one of the Chinese languages it means Grandpa and that's what I'm known as in China is Nice Grandpa, it comes from that poem I did you know that poem I did called Hot Food has that little bit in it that goes nice and because of that I'm known in China as Nice Grandpa.
So there it is I'm going to show it to you one more time nice Grandpa nice yeah yeah be quite nice to have that on a t-shirt wouldn't it right now here's another book it's got another language in it now my grandparents spoke a language called Yiddish and my parents spoke quite a lot of it and I learned some Yiddish words well you may know a book I did called We're Going on a Bear Hunt well what I've got here is a version of We're Going on a Bear Hunt with Yiddish writing in it at the same time so I'm going to show you the cover here it is we're going on a bear hunt and then across the top and we have to read it in the other direction not from left to right but from right to left and that
This is a book of mine and it's in Italian yes this is another book in Italian illustrated by Chris Ridell there you go so that is Honey for Tea Honey for Me in Italian
Now then Ready for Spaghetti - funny poems for funny kids it came out in hardback quite a long time ago well now it's out in paperback and these are funny poems for funny kids and now that's available for paperback Ready for Spaghetti.

Here's four books four books that are in a group this one's called I am Happy and this one's called I am Wriggly and this one's called I am Hungry and this one is I am Angry so four books all go together they came out in hardback and now they're out in paperback so there's a little group of about little group of books with poems inside them that are all about our feelings.
Finally a special We're Going on a Bear Hunt book so this one is called We're Going on a Bear Hunt Nature Adventures 30 Outdoor Activities for young explorers all year round so you go on a bear hunt but what you do is you find all sorts of things out there.
I'm just going to see whether I can find something what have we got out there oh pressed flower Sun catcher, make your own binoculars, onion skin dyed eggs, cloud spotting, make a rain gauge and there's all those wonderful pictures by Helen Oxenbury and there's some special new rhymes from me.
