7/3/09 - In honor of the late Michael Jackson, I decided to play a violin rendition of his first number-one single as a solo artist, "Ben," which he recorded when he was only fourteen. Being an enormous fan of Michael's music, I wanted to pay tribute to the man by playing one of his earlier, lesser-known hits, and something more heartfelt than his later material. I came really close to doing "Thriller" instead but decided that hearing it on a violin had too much of a hokey, comical effect. Maybe further down the line I'll record "Thriller." We'll see.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy! And Michael, thanks for all the music. Rest in peace.
I learned this entirely by ear, so I do not have any sheet music.
