Izuku Midoriya (緑みどり谷や出いず久く Midoriya Izuku?), also known as Deku (デク Deku?), is the main protagonist of the My Hero Academia manga and anime series.

Even though Izuku was born Quirkless, he manages to catch the attention of the legendary Hero All Might, due to his innate heroism and a strong sense of justice, and has since become his close pupil, as well as a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School. All Might passed on his transferable Quirk to Izuku, making him the ninth and final wielder of One For All.

Following the Paranormal Liberation War, with Tomura Shigaraki and All For One actively targeting Izuku for his Quirk, he decided to leave U.A. before finishing his first year to keep his classmates out of harm's way.[4] After encouragement and support from his friends, he later returns to the school and leads the heroes against the villains in one final battle to save the world. After the Final War, Izuku managed to defeat Tomura and All For One, but at the cost of rendering himself Quirkless once more.

Katsuki Bakugo (爆ばく豪ごう勝かつ己き Bakugō Katsuki?), also known as Kacchan (かっちゃん Katchan?) by his childhood friends,[4] and his hero name Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight (大だい•爆ばく•殺さっ•神しんダイナマイト Daibakusasshin Dainamaito?),[5] was a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero. He is the deuteragonist of My Hero Academia.

Eight years after the Final War, Katsuki has graduated from U.A. High School, becoming a high-ranking Pro Hero with an insatiable appetite for crushing his foes.[6]

After graduation, Izuku loses the embers of One For All and becomes a teacher at U.A., but after eight years, advancements in technology allows him to return to active Hero duty, alongside his fellow Class A members.[5]

Shoto Todoroki (轟とどろき焦しょう凍と Todoroki Shōto?), also known as Shoto (ショート Shōto?), was a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, where he got in through official recommendations.[5] He is also the youngest son of Endeavor, the former No. 2, and No. 1, Pro Hero. He is the tritagonist of My Hero Academia.

Eight years after the Final War, Shoto has graduated from U.A. High School, becoming a highly ranked Pro Hero.[2]
