— A Spotlight Talk on Arroh-ah-och’s olla (water jar) (1870–80) from Tess Lukey (Aquinna Wampanoag), Curatorial Research Associate, Art of the Americas

— Highlights from Indigenous Peoples’ Day 2019

— A Spotlight Talk on Wendy Red Star’s Apsáalooke Feminist #1 (2016) from Marina Tyquiengco (CHamoru), Curatorial Assistant, Contemporary Art

Founded in 1870, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, stands on the historic homelands of the Massachusett people, a site that has long served as a place of meeting and exchange among different nations. As a Museum, we acknowledge the long history of the land we occupy today and seek ways to make Indigenous narratives more prominent in our galleries and programming.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day is sponsored by Ameriprise Financial. Additional programming support is provided by The Lowell Institute.
