MEZMERIZER Launches Dystopic Music Video Created by Famed 3D Artists
Odense, Denmark – Danish heavy metal powerhouse MEZMERIZER has unveiled a brand new dystopian music video for their powerful track “Blessed in Disgrace,” crafted in collaboration with the renowned 3D animation studio Undead Animation—widely known for their work in the video game and digital effects industry.
The video marks a bold new chapter for MEZMERIZER, blending intense sonic firepower with a haunting visual narrative. Fronted by Michael Bastholm Dahl (ex-Artillery), the band delivers a gripping tale of alienation, identity, and defiance in a society that punishes nonconformity.
“This is not your average metal video,” says guitarist Flemming Goldberg-Larsen. “We asked Undead Animation to capture the essence of our music—and what they delivered is something you really have to see to understand. It’s a twisted journey, layered with meaning and open to interpretation.”
Vocalist Michael Bastholm Dahl delves deeper into the inspiration behind the lyrics and imagery:
“‘Blessed in Disgrace’ is about the internal struggle many face when they feel like outsiders in a world full of expectations. Society praises conformity, and punishes individuality. The character in our video defies the rules, and pays the price—but in doing so, discovers a deeper truth. The line ‘There is no hell or heaven in this place, just empty words of damnation’ really sums it up. True salvation lies in being unapologetically yourself.”
With a sound recommended for fans of Iron Maiden, Dio, and Nevermore, MEZMERIZER continues to carve their path in the global metal scene with music that is as thought-provoking as it is heavy.

![Hopeless Nation - My Curse - (Official Music Video)
My Curse is the latest single from Montreal hardcore/metal band Hopeless Nation.
A crushing exploration of addiction, self-destruction, and the battles people fight in silence, My Curse confronts the darkness that can slowly consume identity while delivering a message of resilience and hope.
Following the releases of Silverspoon and Disaster, this track continues Hopeless Nations return after nearly a decade away, pushing deeper into the realities of human struggle through uncompromising heaviness and raw emotion.
The video uses practical effects, projection work, minimalistic staging, and stroboscopic lighting to create a disorienting visual experience. Repeating staircases, endless loops, and fractured imagery reflect the cycle of addiction and the fight to break free.
My Curse is about the battles people fight in silence. Addiction in all its forms can take control and slowly erase who you are. This song is a confrontation but also a reminder that no one has to face it alone.
