Traditional adornments and stories of culture from Mer (Murray Island) in the Torres Strait were brought to life through dance and song lead by ‘Embodied Knowledge’ artist, Obery Sambo, and the award-winning Meuram Murray Island Dance Group on opening day of ‘Embodied Knowledge: Queensland Contemporary Art’. This event featured a Welcome to Country from local dancers Nunukul Yuggera Aboriginal Dancers.
