I made an 80's horror movie-style arrangement of the "Menu Theme" from Metroid Prime for Halloween 2022. I listened to Halloween and other John Carpenter music, A Nightmare On Elm Street, and Night of the Demons (the latter gave this arrangement its name). I really enjoyed doing this one. It's not quite the polish of synthwave and it's real loose with the tape reels and all. I'd like to do more of these. Hope you dig it!
