I found master tracks that had the vocals and drums separate this time. Again, the guitars have more gain and scooped mids. The drums have been EQed much better this time. The biggest difference is that the bass drum is louder.
Now for the vocals...I tried many ways to distort James' voice, but none of them made James sound more aggressive, so I tried this trial filter called Metal Demon. The filter is turn any vocal style into Death Metal vocals, so it took extra modification afterwards to make it sound more in line with the Thrash Metal style. It didn't really come out the way I hoped, but it's sure interesting. The filter is actually pretty mediocre, but it's the best I can do. Perhaps I'd have better results if I actually bought the filter to unlock the different options. But fuck that shit...
Also I have no idea what happened to that lead...it sounds out of tune.
