E minor Metal Backing Track for Guitar, Slow Sad Ballad in Emin Em minor / G Major backing track - In the style of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters.
So it's 4am (4:12am to be exact) Friday morning. Late night. I remember close after midnight that since I'm flying home for a couple of weeks this holiday season I should probably get a backing track released before I go to bed. The only problem is, I had something in my head - that had not yet been recorded. Thus the late hour.
I wanted to do something in the style of Metallica. I jammed around with the idea of doing Creeping Death.. which I actually did, but when I decided to do something based on the popular Power Ballad off the Black Album, something along the lines of Nothing Else Matters. It's basically a similar chordal structure with a few changes.
For this, I broke out my acoustic (all with new strings!), an electric on clean, and an electric on dirty. I panned everything hard left and right to get that huge sound.
Scale:
Use E minor, or as you please. It's a pretty straight forward rotation. Em, to C maj to D maj. I cut out the G and the B - that'd make it too similar.. :)
Anyway, peace + love. Calling it a night. Enjoy this one :)
