A little mini-zoom for you today. I thought I would revisit an old colour scheme this week. This scheme is a little different to the normal Mandelbrot colouring. It is made with the "Doodads" colouring method in Ultra Fractal. Enjoy! Please subscribe!

$The Endless Ocean - Mandelbrot Fractal Zoom A huge blue double header for you this week! Two videos with the same geometry, colour palette and music, but with completely different moods. This one is really another look at the Infinite Ocean idea that was popular a few months back, however I have added colour cycling, so things are moving a little. If you dont really like this style, you will probably like the companion video Blue Dreams (released tomorrow). Please hit subscribe. The idea for this came after being trolled in the comments section by someone saying that there is no artistic merit to the videos because it is computer generated. And while I certainly dont claim to be very artistic myself, it is certainly possible to control the style and mood of the video. There are certainly some awesome fractal artists out there, particularly those making still images. So to demonstrate what is possible, I thought I would make two videos with exactly the geometry and colour palette. Anyways, please let me know in the comments what you think, and which video is more to your taste. Unlike the Infinite Ocean video, this one is rendered with my own software and Kalles Fraktaler. This means that I can go much deeper, and create the video much faster. I created a Panel effect for my plugin which gives the coloured panels you see in this video. The video is also shaded to give it a pseudo-3D feel. The angle for the lighting effect is based on the angle at which the iteration count is increasing. Such shading is cue for the brain to interpret the image as having depth. $Mandelbrot World Record Attempt - Part 3 (e4000 to e6000) The deepest Mandelbrot zoom ever! This zoom is over 24-hours long, uploaded to YouTube in 11 parts. It will finish on a mini-Mandelbrot. As such, I am claiming a world record for the deepest Mandelbrot video! I have kept to the traditional colouring style for this one. Consider playing your own music while you let this one roll. Sit back, relax, and soak it in. This will be the only time I ever attempt a video this deep. (8k Technical Render) The Mandelbulb was an attempt to recreate the Mandelbrot Set in 3D. It was largely considered a failure at first. However, as I explore it further, and render it in higher detail, I am finding that the fractal has some quite interesting detail. The aim of this video is to show you what is actually there. So Ive called this a technical render, its not an attempt to be artistic. Please give me your thoughts in the comments. There two parts to this render: 0:00 Wide View of the Needle 1:42 Close-up View of the Needle 3D fractals are much harder to render than 2D fractals. There are a number of trade-offs to make as we cant simply assign colours to iteration counts. Most renderers for the Mandelbulb fractal rely on graphics card running at 32-bit precision. However this severely limits how close we can get. This is an attempt to render the Mandelbulb at full 64-bit double precision, which was done on a CPU. It is early days for my little software renderer, so there are a few problems, but it does expose some detail. It would not be possible to render the 2nd part of this video at 32-bit. It is significantly more zoomed in. The close-up view actually only takes you to the main mini-bulb shown in the fist video. It is significantly more zoomed, and you are seeing much less of the needle. Thank-you to my supporters on Patreon.
