So If you have 50 or more rings at a check point, stars keep twirling and twirling on top of it when it does, jump for it, and you will access the special which you have to collect certain rings in order to win a chaos emerald in 7 special stages and 7 only!

You will be able to have 1,000 Rings so when on a special stage, you don't have to collect the rings they tell you to collect.
