Metal Reign is an srb2 story mod demo thing, at the moment, featuring 10 levels, original music, and half a story.
this is the third iteration of this title theme. i may post the old versions later.
it's actually an excerpt of the final zone's act 2 theme, which i turned into the main theme of the game because it lacked for quite a while. one would never know by how ive used it, but that final zone is, funny enough, one of the earliest songs ive made for metal reign.
that being said, im so glad i finally get to officially post metal reign music on my channel now. it's been my main thing for a long time now. before virtualtale, sonic 2 alternate, fell!sonic, any of that. which is why ill say now, any motifs you may hear from past songs ive posted... come from here! except when they dont... ill tell you when.

im doing a thing here where ill be trying to serve these songs some justice by doing act 2 mixes (not counting the zones that already have 2 player songs tho).
oil ocean. idk why this one took so long to make. its, like, the opposite of original oil ocean where i made it on 2% battery. maybe i shouldve let my phone run down to 2% to make it more accurate...
this song is based off of arid desert act 2 from another one of my favorite rom hacks, the S Factor: Sonia and Silver. more people need to know that soundtrack exists. very cool stuff.
so i finished Flowey Is Not A Good Life Coach, and im pretty sure thats one of the best fan created things for undertale ever. ending was intense; cant believe papyrus actually killed someone for once, and it wasnt dusttrustbeliefswaptailspinstory stuff. such a good read, man. so i started reading Chara Isnt A Very Good Life Coach, Either, a... fanfic of a fanfic... tbh, im not invested in it. it lost a lot of the tension that the story was building up to the point of where the ficfic takes off from. idea is really interesting, tho. frisk is now included in the story in a way thatll probably really change the ending (i havent finished reading it yet) but i hope this gets more interesting before the story ends. hopefully flowey rips off papyrus limbs some more.
this video took really long to upload for some reason. video file was too big for a webm to mp4 for me to edit so i had to upload it straight to youtube, download that, put it back in the video editor, and all so i could get rid of those pauses in the sound that happen sometimes. shit is so glued together i swear

hill top. this was pretty fun. got rid of the boss theme melody being copied in the main part because thats tacky af. did keep the second section with the motif you all know and love -which doesnt even originate from sonic 2 alternate but no one will know that anymore which really sucks ngl-
i remember when i was making the part at 1:01, i was thinking of the sections where the lava rises, so ive made that fittingly tense.
uhhhh ristar. (actual) ristar (snare) is here also. i played it through recently and it was awesome. i really love that game. wanted to make a song that sounds like it that wasnt sonic related, but the one im working on rn isnt really that good. ill get back to you on it eventually, tho.
used a more powerful sonic 3/fm drumset that Uukoo/Fen/StripedTailz gave me, and it sounds... nice.

so uh. i had some ideas.
i made this last week-yesterday, just as a sort of what if if i got to do the whole ost. namely in this video, death egg.
i decided to try a 3/4 rock type song for act 1. act 2 is your usual final level, running in desperation as you rush to stop the madman. i also made this with the intention that i actually follow up on the original death egg leitmotif in launch base alternate, referencing said zone in this song as well.
act 2 is microtoned. i thought itd be really cool imo
