The Metropolitan Police says it is investigating 40 new allegations relating to former Harrods boss Mohamed al Fayed and others.

This follows claims made by multiple women in a recent documentary, who accuse the late businessman of rape and sexual assault.

The new claims are in addition to 21 allegations the force was aware of prior to the broadcast of the documentary last month.
