Jerry Neal, Mervyn's Director of Visual Merchandising, presents a slideshow of the now-defunct department store's holiday concepts for 1989.
Neal starts things off by going into painstaking detail on what the Christmas season entails since, undoubtedly, only a small number of the retail giant's employees had ever heard of the holiday before watching this video. At one point, he implies that the mid-south is in store for a snowstorm and that unicorns exist, despite the mythical creature's complete lack of connection to the holidays.
