On behalf of our team members, customers and suppliers, Husky is pleased to be donating to several local causes that support the health and well-being of the communities within which we live and work. This year includes organizations that provide family transition support services, children’s educational programs, food banks and mental health resources.
Globally, Husky is proud to support Natural Capital Partners, who is a world-leading provider of innovative solutions for positive impact on the earth’s carbon, energy, water, forests and rural communities. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Natural Capital Partners combats climate change by driving innovative solutions for a global transformation.
Husky’s donation to Natural Capital Partners will be directed to a project in support of the health and livelihoods of communities most impacted by climate change. This project in Uganda will help improve water infrastructure by supplying clean drinking water to small rural communities by repairing and drilling new boreholes. Boreholes can be used as water wells by installing a vertical pipe casing and well screen allowing water to be extracted from the ground. Boreholes greatly reduce the time needed for collection of water and fuel, and the purification of water, thus alleviating pressure on local forests and reducing greenhouse gases.
