Merlin is a small falcon

Merlin are 25-33 cm

The Merlin is quite unafraid , and will readily attack anything that moves conspicuously. Merlin have been observed trying to "catch" automobiles and trains

Merlins used to be called "pigeon hawks" because in flight they look somewhat pigeon-like.

Work smarter, not harder instead of building their own nests, these birds like to usurp the nests of other large birds.

They eat mainly small birds

Merlin is a close second, attaining cruising speeds in excess of 70 Kilometers an hour. The first fastest is a peregrine falcon.
