After 3 months I finally have another upload worthy track! I hope you all enjoy it and add it to your MP3 collection. The music industry is at a strange convergence of things so if you have not really been following:
- A.I. is freaking out pretty much every musician with the way it 'trains' off of existing works to create new 'songs'. It is getting crazy good, crazy fast and can churn out thousands of tracks in the time it takes me to do one...
- Streaming services are cutting royalties, training and using their own A.I. on the backend to pad their own playlists with junk songs to avoid paying real artists.
- More and more artists are pulling music off of streaming sites and going 'direct to customer' using their own websites or places like BandCamp to sell their work directly to fans.
This may be my last free MP3 download because the 'direct to customer' model sounds like it's becoming more and more accepted. I have no way of knowing how many of my MP3 files get downloaded off of my Google Drive (but I hope people are!) However it would be awesome to have the direct support of fans and be able to invest more time into creating music for them.
Anyways, I will keep writing and uploading here, regardless of what I decide to do down the line, so thanks all for the likes and subscribes and I hope you have a great summer!
