HAPPY NEW YEAR!! i have been editing next to nothing lately, i haven't really had the motivation to get on my laptop cuz of depression and work and traveling to california for a week, which was really fun despite my declining mental health. but it's the new year now, and i'm gonna try to take care of myself and my brain. i didn't really put "start editing more" as one of my resolutions because i figure if inspiration strikes, i'll edit, but i won't force myself. that's what's ruined this hobby for me in the past.
anyway enough rambling, this is all the MEP parts i've done since my last collection which i think was in like mid october? not a very long collection but i'm honestly relieved about that cuz i had to render this like a day ago when i realized i still had to stick to my tradition of uploading collections on new years day, and i would not have liked sitting thru a 2 hr video render.
i'm pretty proud of everything here. some of it is lame cuz i wasn't inspired, but i pushed thru just to get the parts turned in. a lot more live action than usual, which i'm happy about. i really like the first part in this collection, "sober" for sarge's MEP (tysm for letting me take part!). i'm not so fond of the last part in this collection, but that's mostly because the movie i picked ("archie's final project") has only bad quality copies online and it was just... a bad movie choice haha
my favorite parts in this collection are definitely my "rory" parts for rachenna77's MEP, which i am SUPER hyped for and can't wait til it's done. foxing are my favorite band and rory is such an emotional song, i put as much effort as possible into making my parts emotional and matching the beats and theme. i still think i could've done better tho, haha. i was thinking of uploading all of my parts as their own video but then decided not to cuzzz lazy, but i still might. who knows
anyway this has been kind of a long description so i'm gonna end it here. as always, too lazy to list all of these MEPs/songs/artists/hosts, so if you have a question about a particular part just ask and I can answer it for you/link the MEP :)

well i was gonna upload this a couple days later but i got impatient. anyways, i can finally upload a big collection of something other than MEP parts!! these are projects i either stopped working on, or im still working on them and just havent finished yet. some of them im proud of, some are downright pitiful, most are very simple and as you can see, i use balto and the lion king a LOT. but what you gonna do?
some of these a few of you might have also seen before on my backup channel, but i get close to no views or comments on that channel so im sure these betas will get more exposure here on my main channel. please comment which are your favorites!
also, im looking to expand my horizons on how i edit. everything from my technique/editing style to the movies i use. im looking to start editing to films like brother bear, spirit, bambi, aristocats, all dogs go to heaven, etc. instead of the typical movies i use over and over. id also like to start putting more effort into my personal projects. for mep parts i often try to experiment and put effort into effects and such, but for personal videos theyre often completely raw and predictable. id like to change that, because ive seen so many extremely talented editors in this community go above and beyond with their videos. i just want to get better. editing is one of my main passions, along with making music. its one of the things that connects with me the most and id love to start doing more with it, because i feel like im limiting myself and just creating the same project over and over. honestly, i feel like 2017 has been one of my saddest editing years. even though ive regained my passion for making videos, i dont feel like i try as hard anymore, and my ideas arent as original - i nearly always use the same scenes and storylines and i want to break that habit. on the up side, im finally editing to some of the songs ive always had on my editing bucket list! editing to original songs i like that havent been used is always more fun than picking a song like 5 people have already edited to.
anyway, enough of my ranting, lets get on to these betas!
