My part for The Way MEP! I finished this a few weeks ago and am super happy with how it turned out even though I had no idea what I was going to do at first. But I knew it would be a feels-fest and hopefully that comes across to all of you as much as it did to me.
I couldn't not use the Hamlet quote! xD
Ciel is such a complex, layered character and I love editing character-studies with him.

A late birthday present for xSunshineHippyx! I’m sorry it took so long. I had this planned in April back when I was watching the show and heard this song and thought of Hippy instantly. I should have started on it sooner considering I had no idea how hard this song would be to edit or just how many beats it had. But I’m happy with the result! I wanted to do something with a lot of text and overlays and pretty colors. xD
I have actually edited Ouran before but only the first episode. Because for some reason it took me until a few months ago to watch the whole thing, and I immediately fell in love and watched all the episodes in a few days. So this is my Ouran tribute! I have a few more ideas so I’ll be editing this more often now.

I struggled with finishing this one, but despite the lack of inspiration, I think it turned out okay. I am happier with the beginning. I think the required beta length is the most difficult part about this competition because I’m lacking inspiration by the time I get toward the end. Hopefully, if I make it to the next round, I’ll get another song I like.
I had to edit Haru and Rin with this song because it’s so them. Angsty but also positive in a way, hopeful. I especially loved the line ‘a bright light from a distance leaves you dark’ because Rin has always been such a bright force in Haru’s life, and he is also ‘darker’ by comparison, especially when he feels left behind.

Im glad I got this up. Over two hours of rendering, but I wanted it up for one of my best friends. Merry Christmas Hippy!
Let me start off by apologizing for this . . . I forgot how to edit, apparently. Regardless, Punz always reminds me off you and I know you love her, so I had to edit her for you. This song reminded me of the movie, so it was a must as well. I hope you like it even if its not the neatest of videos Ive made.

The storyline is canony, with Rapunzel being obsessed with the lanterns always released on her birthday and going with Flynn to see them up close for the first time. Then there is a time skip (for whatever reason) and Rapunzel tries to revive Flynn, only to lose him. Overcome with emotion, she attacks mother Gothel and accidentally pushes her out the window. Rapunzel tries again to revive Flynn and succeeds. Yay, happy ending! Black&white + purple is her remebering their time together.

Hita posted a video with the original version of this song, and I wanted to use it too, with Karai and April. So I did. Its nothing too special or too long, but I like how it came out. I had a bit of trouble with the ending background not showing up for some odd reason, with my cookie cutters both squished together, but I tried my best to fix it. The song is from both their points of view, something that surprised me when I finished it. The song is sweeter, so I thought it was just April. Of course, Karais never too nice about things, so it almost ocmes out as more cunning/manipulative than sweet. But sweet/cute is what I was going for. :)
