These “permanent supportive housing” buildings continue to be a magnet for crime, open-air drug use, and chaos in neighborhoods across the city.
But this model is aggressively being pushed by Mayor Katie Wilson and other clueless elected officials. That's because they are trying to warehouse people out of sight and out of mind.
In the end, only Homeless INC and the builders benefit.
We Heart Seattle's Andrea Suarez is now calling out city and county leaders for allowing this failing model to flourish.
