welcome to part 3/day. 3 of my jaipur trip!
on the night of 28th we had travelled to Pushkar. On 29th we explored Pushkar. Did I have a very good experience? No, not really. I would not recommend Pushkar tbh.
NOTE: be careful of people who will forcefully take you to perform puja on the pushkar lake banks. I personally believe in god and am religious and all, but I hate that religion has become so commercialized.
on the 28th, we resumed the sightseeing tour
first we went to the main attraction - pushkar lake (be careful of the abovementioned people)
then, we went to Sri Venkateshwara Temple - this temple was very peaceful and i would recommend.
then, we went for a jeep safari in the desert. this was my first time seeing a desert and I expected it to be more sandy. we were told that since it was still kind of monsoon, there was a lot more greenery.
then we went to Brahma temple - again, nice place.
on our way out of pushkar, we went to Ajmer Sharif. i have not been to a dargah before so i didn't know what to expect. however, as soon as we entered the inner sanctum and offered the flowers, we were immediately asked to donate money. we were fumbling because we didn't have any change with us and the man pointed to the monetary offerings that were laid out and said we could make the change from there. i was so disappointed to hear that. imagine that happening to something (even if money) you had offered from your own volition.
then we went to kishangarh fort and guys, please be forewarned. it is a private property and tourists are not allowed it. we learned it the hard way.
we reached delhi at like 3 am on the 30th of August since we came by car. there was a huge traffic jam!
