The memorial for 25-year-old Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero continues to grow and draw those who want to pay their respects at the intersection of Hill and Pool streets in Biddeford. Durán Guerrero was allegedly shot and killed by ICE agent David Brouillette on his way to work early the morning of July 13. Handwritten notes, chalk messages on the sidewalk, flowers and candles fill one corner of the intersection where the Colombian man succumbed to his injuries. Federal officials later said Durán Guerrero was not the man they were looking for. Maine’s congressional delegation is calling for a fast-tracked, transparent and independent investigation into the shooting.
