Dr Iain McGilchrist | Member's Q&A - Is Moral Space Curved? @DrIainMcGilchrist | Uploaded June 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
This is a clip from the May 2022 live Q&A session with Iain McGilchrist and members of Channel McGilchrist who have the opportunity to ask questions in advance or post them in the chat during the session itself. The question asked by one member is in response to a seminar with Iain in April 2022 with the Centre for Myth, Cosmology and the Sacred https://mythcosmologysacred.com, on A Sense of the Sacred, where he mentioned that 'moral space is curved'.
The question, 'During the presentation for the lecture on A Sense of the Sacred on April 24th, Dr McGilchrist stated that ‘moral space is curved’. The concept is intriguing, indeed. An elaboration of this idea interests me' is relayed by Mary Attwood maryattwood.com who helps to moderate these sessions for Channel McGilchrist, and the member who asked the question can also be heard slightly later in the discussion.

Other questions from this session which can be found in the member's area of Channel McGilchrist include:
'Do you think it is possible or likely that we negatively affect overall mental health by dealing with the hemisphere differences the way that we do? Are we effectively short circuiting the phenomenon and benefit of neuroplasticity by too readily accepting the left brain’s take on things and thereby making our minds more rigidly certain of things that are clearly still up for debate from the right hemisphere’s point of view?'
