My first time out flying in 2021 and I brought all my little 3D printed planes with me. I will bring the big boys later. Here's my 3D printed EDF glider. I love taking off from the ground with this. It's also cool to be able to taxi around without any wheels. More planes need a top mounted EDF.
I'm not big into gliders so I don't have any experience finding thermals. I usually just fly it around like a normal slow sports plane but this time I spent some time gliding.
It's flying with a cheap outrunner from a Starmax F5 spinning a 3D printed EDF and powered by a 4S 4000 mAh lipo. I don't know how long it can fly. Much longer than I can be bothered to stay up for one flight.
