I'm releasing a rock-based song in May. I'm still putting some last-minute alterations in the song. In this video I am laying a lead part on top of a breakdown section in the middle of the song. The song is fairly high energy. In the breakdown, listeners are invited to catch their breath and float in space for a minute. The breakdown starts off minimal and atmospheric. I slowly elevate the intensity and then finally soar into the last pass where I try to be as evocative as possible. You will notice the unexpected chord changes throughout, but I try to keep a familiar melody front and center.
