Arrived home just before sunset and saw hundreds of water spouts on the horizon. Wasn't sure if it was something caused by the mirage on the water since it was a very hot day, so myself and a visiting friend from Canada took the ski out to investigate. What we found was a pod of easily more than 100 humpback whales covering an area of around 1km. The visibility in the water was less than a meter, so diving with them was not an option. There were a lot of birds working were the whales were surfacing, so it looked like they were feeding, but the water visibility was less than a meter, so we could not verify this. Was an incredible outing!
