highimpact.com This medical malpractice animation was used to demonstrate how melanoma spread throughout a patient's body after a doctor failed to send skin tissue to a pathology lab after a biopsy.

Robert Phillps, Esq., needed a medical malpractice animation that would help his audience understand how the tumor spread throughout his client’s body, and how the delay in treatment resulted in the patient undergoing painfully aggressive medications that would exacerbate his pain and suffering for a year before he died.

We worked with Mr. Phillips and Christina Hedges, RN CEN, to build the following animations. The visual presentation helped Mr. Phillips return his client’s family a $6M settlement, which is believed to be one of, if not the, largest non-economic damage medical malpractice settlements in the history of South Carolina.

$Interactive Brain Injury Exhibit Diagnoses Depth of TBI http://www.highimpact.com - This Interactive Brain Injury Exhibit was used to diagnose the depth and magnitude of a young girls traumatic brain injury after her vehicle was hit by a tractor-trailer. The Diagnostic Slice Chooser breaks down the patient’s damages into three categories: Pre-Op CT scans of brain damage, Pre-Op CT scans of skull fractures, and Post-Op CT Scans depicting the hardware used to reassemble the skull and internal fractures. The Pre-Op CT scans of the brain show obvious signs of deep subdural bleeding, pneumocephalus, and compressed ventricles within the center of the brain. The Pre-Op CT scans of the skull show the comminuted open skull fractures at four different levels. The Post-Op CT scans show the craniotomy hardware that the patient will likely live with for the rest of her life. Mr. Seaton and Mr. Bares were able to easily flip through these radiographic slides with maximum context, and enlarge the original CT scan from the bottom-right corner of the screen.
