This is an original song by Heiko Klueh, who went by the handle "Mel O'Dee".
This is an Commodore Amiga MOD file made in the early 90s(?) when Heiko Klueh was in the demoscene group "Dual Crew Shining". This song (or rather a port of this song) has been used in (at least) a few Super Mario World rom hacks; however, the original Amiga version has not been uploaded to YouTube until now.
