Based upon the Reflex-Korelle models of the 1930s, VEB WEFO Dresden brought out this advanced 6x6 camera in 1950. It featured a focal plane shutter with times from 1sec to 1/1000 sec and an automatic film transport. But the whole camera was too ambitioned and caused a lot of problems for the manufacturer.
A little later WEFO was integrated in VEB Kamerawerke Niedersedlitz, but Siegfried Böhm refused to rework this model and KW did not continue to manufacture it. Instead he started to concieve a completely new camera based on the Korelle-concept in 1954, which later became known as the "Praktisix".
