MEGA MILTON S&H + NOISE 」Creating random percussive noise textures using the MEGA MILTON’s Sample & Hold + Noise section as an audio and modulation source for the MCFx2.

Starting with a backdrop of chords, the MEGA MILTON’s Noise out is patched to a VCA on the Tangle Quartet, continuing on to the MCFx2 acting as a bandpass filter. An envelope from the Pip Slope is connected to the Level CV input of the Tangle VCA, creating sharp percussive noise bursts. The filter Cut Off and Resonance are increased, emphasising a region frequencies across the spectrum of noise. Next, a x4 clock from Pamela’s PRO Workout is patched to the S&H Trig input, triggering the sample and hold circuit. By leaving the S&H Input unpatched, the white noise source is normaled to it and sampled each time the S&H circuit is triggered, resulting in a string of random voltages generated by the S&H output. To add variations to the frequency of the noise bursts, the S&H output is patched to the Frequency CV input of the MCFx2. The final result is percussive noise textures that add atmosphere and random variations to the track.
