Nah, but I'm just giving you a hard time. The last cover I did made me remember how much fun it is to work with DPCM. And of course you can never go wrong with duty cycling!

This is a song I have a lot of nostalgia for, but not because of Final Fantasy 4, or even SMRPG. No, my first exposure to this song was as a MIDI in the background of a sprite comic. I figured out how to dig into the HTML of the webpage and save it to my computer, and Ive ended up taking it with me across several different generations of computers. Still have it, in fact.
Nothing much to say about the arrangement itself except that this time I used Follin-esque arps that modulate down instead of up. Also liberal use of hardware sweeps because theyre underrated imo.

So I bought the debut Gorillaz album in late December because it was on sale for real cheap and when I heard this song I immediately thought of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddys Kong-Quest for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
It took a while, but I finally got around to doing the DKC2-style remix Ive been wanting to do. Also it was a fun exercise in practicing groove effects in OpenMPT.

Its Stickerbrush Symphony! Or StickerBUSH, if youre pedantic. Nothing I can say about this song that hasnt already been said before, but I do like it a lot and wanted to pay homage to DKC2 in general with this cover. Its a really good game and it gives me the warm feelies.
Yknow, with the exception of a couple tiny parts, this song isnt as hard to cover as I initially thought it would be. Which is good because Im lazy and wouldnt have ever finished this if it were like wicked difficult.
