What's black and white and ready to fight? Top Man!
I've never really been able to really get into blues-key-centric music but I thought maybe there was something here I could work with. I wasn't even really planning to use MMX samples but the brass and slap bass are really good for this kind of song.

NiGHTS and Reala, a classic rivalry! Its so tragedic that they had to invent a word just to describe how tragedic it is!
I just really love the NiGHTS series and wanted to cover something from it. I thought about doing Dream Dreams but... eh maybe some other time.
The sprites are from Sonic Pinball Party. Theyre recolored to fit the NES palette, and Realas is an edited version of NiGHTSs that I made.

Hey its another Tales of Symphonia cover! Ive actually played the game since the last cover I released and I liked it a lot! The battle system in particular is super-fun.
Anyway I decided not to use DPCM for this cover and just use noise percussion, since I think the song has a little bit of a Capcom feel to it.

Its a cold winters night. The sun has just set, the sky still a radiant purple as you walk through a fresh blanket of snow. The illumination of the Christmas lights on the nearby trees bathe your path in a faint iridescence. As you look back, you can see the warm orange glow from a nearby village, and you admire the way they contrast against the blueish light of the stars above.
You can think of this as a sort of spiritual successor to Leaves On The Sidewalk in a way, as I used some similar arrangement techniques here, and is also made to be evocative of seasonal weather.
