I recently discovered that the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis has it's own demoscene! I'm a big fan of Amiga demos and had no idea that there was a active scene on the Mega Drive back in the day so I had to take a look. Here's a class demo with cool fx and great music by TiTAN released back in 2017 at the Revision demoparty....Overdrive 2 is an acclaimed demo winning awards for technical achievement and pushing the hardware's limits with advanced effects like a polygon renderer, roto zoomers, and border-busting techniques. It's considered a landmark production in the Sega demoscene for its impressive technical innovations and quality, demonstrating that the Mega Drive/Genesis hardware could perform complex 3D-like effects. Dim the lights, turn up the volume and check it out, it's up there with the some of the top Amiga 500 demos I've seen....This is running on the BlastEm emulator.
