Las Vegas aerospace tycoon Robert Bigelow and Utah real estate magnate Brandon Fugal have not spoken to each other since 2016, which is when they met to transfer ownership of Skinwalker Ranch from Bigelow to Fugal. Bigelow owned the now-famous paranormal hotspot for 20 years, during which his NIDS organization, as well as investigators working for the DIA’s classified effort known as AAWSAP, tried to understand the bizarre range of UFO incidents, cryptid creatures, animal mutilations, and other inexplicable phenomena. Fugal, who described himself as a skeptic, purchased the property in 2016 with the idea of turning it into a campground for Boy Scout gatherings, but has since changed his mind and authorized the production of the popular TV series The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch.
For the first time, the two businessmen met in Las Vegas to compare notes, discuss the history of the ranch (including aspects that have never been made public), and to evaluate how the investigation of the ranch fits into the larger context of how humanity might learn to understand its relationship with non-human intelligences.
