Introducing the bold new wave of designers coming to MATCHESFASHION.COM. The first five innovators in the series are Matty Bovan, Art School, Claire Barrow, Wanda Nylon and Paula Knorr. The pioneering designers are redefining the way we dress and have designed exclusive capsule collections.
First up is designer and senior editor of Love magazine Matty Bovan, who exploded onto the London fashion scene with his MA collection, a kaleidoscopic collection of 3-D knitwear and colour clashes. Designers Eden Loweth and Tom Barratt founded Art School in 2016, a genderless brand blurring the lines of menswear and womenswear. The next Innovator is Claire Barrow who is renowned for her hand-painted techniques and naive illustrations, the multi-disciplinary artist made her London fashion week debut in 2012. Wanda Nylon is the buzzy label by Paris-based Johanna Senyk and her capsule collection is inspired by outerwear and the label’s signature trench coat. Completing the line-up is London-based designer Paula Knorr, who graduated from The Royal College of Art in 2015 and her innovative draping and cutting techniques won the attention of the British Fashion Council, who awarded her NEWGEN.
