Dr Yuriko Jackall, Head of the Curatorial Department and Curator of French Paintings at the Wallace Collection will host an in-conversation with Dr Martin Eidelberg and Mr Lionel Sauvage. Join them as they take a close look at the work of Antoine Watteau, whose paintings are as alluring and mysterious today as they were three centuries ago.
Professor Martin Eidelberg is an art historian specialised in eighteenth-century French art. He has published and lectured widely and is currently at work on the catalogue raisonné of Watteau's paintings.
Mr Lionel Sauvage is a collector of eighteenth-century French paintings and drawings with a strong focus on Watteau and the universe of the fête galante. He is also involved in the preparation of Watteau's catalogue raisonné as research assistant to Professor Eidelberg.
