On this edition of Meet the Author, Jerdine Nolen shares insights about her latest book, On Her Wings, which is a non-fiction picture book about the early life and legacy of groundbreaking American writer Toni Morrison. Students from Weyanoke Elementary School participate via zoon to provide a lively discussion with Ms. Nolen as she discusses some of her other award winning fiction books such as Freedom Bird, Thunder Rose and Hewitt Anderson’s Great Big Life. A short video on “tips for writing a biography” rounds out the program.
